About the Stephanos Tiara

There was in the ancient world a perfect circle,
neither of iron nor of gold, but of living leaf and sacred breath.

The stephanos, crown of eternity, was not just an ornament:
it was the echo of the footsteps of the goddesses on the earth,
the vegetal glow that emerged when the divine touched the human.

The goddesses —Aphrodite, Artemis, Athena— did not wear crowns out of vanity,
but as sign of the power that blooms from within.
Each woven leaf in her hair was a fragment of the cosmos,
a spark of that invisible fire that upholds the order of things.

In the temples and in the dreams, the stephanos shone.
It was woven with myrtle, laurel, or seasonal flowers,
according to the offering and the worship, according to the invoked mystery.
And as it rests upon the forehead of a goddess,
not only crowned her beauty,
revealed it as force, as law, as destiny.

The stephanos was not then a jewel,
but a bridge of sacred leaves between the dust and the stars.
