About the Julia Domna Earrings
In the year 180 AD. An oracle predicted that the young Julia Domna would marry the future emperor of Rome.
During her life Julia was the most powerful empress, the one who received the most titles and dignities, the one who came to be considered the mother of the Caesars, the armies and the country. She was also known as the Philosopher Empress for her ability to govern intelligently and overcome the political betrayals that spread in a world dominated by men.
Lucius Septimius Severus, a provincial governor, married her when he heard of the oracle's prediction and became the first emperor of the Severan dynasty. The oracle was not wrong and at Sophie's we suspect that it was then that she coined the phrase: "For the sake of interest I love you A̶n̶d̶r̶é̶s̶ Julia". 👩❤️💋👨💔
