About the Family Tree Pendant
More than a year ago we designed this jewel to reflect a person's genealogy, engraving the initials of their family and friends on the branches of a tree.
In fact, to our surprise, we have made it much more frequently as gift for teachers, putting the initials of their students on each branch.
Teachers push the world with an imperceptible force that slowly and relentlessly changes our culture generation after generation. They plant the seeds on a winter day, when the rest of us are feeling pessimistic, seeing the conditions of the land and the predicted weather, and they wait patiently for it to take root.
My daughter came home from school on Friday and asked me where she should throw away some plastic wrapping. After a while she told me that it was important to separate the garbage and recycle and then she informed me that the planet has a wound and that we must take care of it.
I'm looking forward to spring.
