Azurita de Chile - Sophie's in Jupiter

Azurite from Chile

Origin of Azurite from Chile

Azurite is a copper mineral that is characterized by its intense blue color and is native to Chile. Its name comes from the word "lazhward", which means blue.

In astrology, azurite is associated with the signs of Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius and Sagittarius.

It has been used since ancient times by different cultures and civilizations. In ancient Egypt, it was used to make amulets and sacred objects, and in the Aztec civilization they made jewelry and decorative objects with it.

During the Renaissance it was used to make blue pigments so it could be used in watercolors and paintings. Michelangelo used it to give blue tones to his work the Sistine Chapel
